Pragathi Nursing Home

Serving Chilakaluripet with Compassion Since 1975

Pragathi Nursing Home was established on January 19th, 1975 by Dr. Raja Mohana Rao and Smt. Hemanthi Devi, son and daughter-in-law of Com. Sri Kolla Venkiah, former MP, MLA, and MLC of the Communist Party.
The hospital was founded with the sole purpose of helping the poor, inspired by strong communist principles of equality, service, and social responsibility.
With decades of dedicated service, Pragathi Nursing Home earned the trust of the people of Chilakaluripet and became popularly known as “Reyghicheytthu Hospital”, symbolizing its commitment to serving every individual with compassion.

A Vision That Continues Through Generations

After the retirement of the founders, the next generation took over the management with renewed energy and modern vision.
Their children, Mr. Amar and Ms. Bhagyamala, strengthened the hospital by introducing:
